...the past few weeks have been quite wet. We have had over 6-7 inches of rain.
So, today we were able to till the front lawn area and plant bermuda seed. With some sunshine and a little hand watering we should have grass spouts soon. We are working on the northside flowerbed and are looking for all the right plants, I have camilla roses, hydrangeas, hostas, irises, and a few more. The southside flower bed will be my herb garden; I have lavender, rosemary, basil, lemon balm, and spearmint to plant. My husband and designed a neat parking area for the cottage. He used authentic railroad switch ties (longer than regular railroad ties) with real train track at the front. We have a T & P railroad crossing sign and a whistle sign to install soon. I'll take some pictures and post them soon.

We have a few other bookings scheduled for the summer and we have enjoyed showing the cottage to our friends and neighbors. As always we look forward to meeting new folks and sharing our little corner of Detroit.
